The sad intelligence of the accidental death of John Allen, aged about 25, and the only son of Mark Allen, a well known citizen of Wilton Township reached the city this afternoon. All that could be learned from the messenger, was that the unfortunate young man fell from a load of hay near his father's home about noon today, and broke his neck, death resulting almost instantly. No other particulars could be learned, except that the deceased was at the time of the accident engaged in putting up the second crop of hay. Mr. Allen leaves besides his parents, three sisters to mourn their loss. The unfortunate young man was unmarried.
