Mrs. Mary Weaver Hill, wife of W. W. Hill, of this city, died at her home at 7 o'clock from heart disease. She had been in poor health for some time, but had been able, most of the time, to be about her household duties, and on Saturday seemed in better health than usual. In the evening, while sitting with her husband in the front room, she went to lower a window and fell dead on the floor. Her husband heard the sound, but thinking it only the dripping of the window, did not know of the visit of the death angel until the daughter, coming in from the kitchen, saw prone on the floor behind her father's easy chair, the form of her dead mother.

In the dim twilight of that Saturday evening the silent messenger suddenly called the soul from the twilight of this earth life, we trust, into the brighter day whose sun shall never set. Mrs. Hill was born in Erie county, Pa., Oct 25, 1836. She came to Iowa in 1841 and was married to W. W. Hill in 1854. Beside her husband, she leaves four children all living, to mourn their loss. The family came to Wapello less than two years ago from near Huron, in Des Moines county. The funeral services were conducted from the late home of deceased by Rev. J. H. Condit, Tuesday afternoon, a 2 p. m.
