The funeral services of A. W. Jarvis last Friday, at his late home in this city, were largely attended. They were under the direction of the Masonic lodge, of Wapello. Rev. J. C. Willits, assisted by J. H. Condit, conducted a short service at the home after which the remains were borne to the train with a guard of honor guard from the Masonic and Pythian lodges. At the Muscatine the local Pythian lodge had charge of the remains and a large concourse attended while the body was laid to rest in a beautiful lot in the city cemetery, overlooking the river.
