Last Saturday night, Charles Stewart, a single man about 20 years of age was killed by the cars, on the track of the Iowa Central near Marsh. His body was found by the train men Sunday morning laying on the track, his skull crushed, legs mashed and arms broken. He had been working as a farm hand near Marsh for a Mr. Elliott and the evening before his death, was at March until eleven o'clock, after that he went to Lee Jarvis' a neighbor where he remained until 2 o'clock, the last he was seen alive. It is supposed that he was walking on the track when a passing train struck him.
