Page 4Our community was shocked to hear of the drowning of Frank T. Wykert in Long Creek last Saturday. He with others was fishing with a seine when it caught on a snag. He swam out to loosen it when he was taken with a cramp and was drowned before help could be obtained. The funeral occured at Long Creek church Monday June 5th conducted by Rev. LaCornu. He was a farmer 37 years old, and leaves a wife and four children almost destitute.
