Henry Elmer Syphrit was born Oct. 25, 1874 in this county, and died at the home of his father, Joseph B. Syphrit, near Newport, Saturday, March 18, 1873, aged 18 years, 4 months and 23 days. The period of his sickness was very brief, the disease, pneumonia, having attacked him on Thursday and two days doing its deadly work. A funeral service will be held at the Fairview church March 25. Death takes no note of age.
