Perry Statts, who lived with his parents of the Riley McDaniel farm, south east of town, died last Monday morning at nine o'clock from consumption. He was 25 years old, had been in failing health for two or three years past, and had been confined to the house for about two months. He was a great sufferer and the privation from poverty made his lot a more bitter one. The funeral occurred Tuesday, conducted by Rev. J. C. Willits and the remains interred in the Harrison cemetery.
