Mrs. A. P. Letts, wife of N. M. Letts died at her home in Grandview township last Thursday morning, aged 73 years, 3 months and 10 days. She was born in New York, the daughter of John and Hannah Powers. She was twice married, her first husband's name was Sawyer, by whom she had two children, a son and daughter, both of whom preceded her to the spirit worlds. She was married to N. M. Letts who survives her, in 1861. She was a member of the Baptist church. The funeral occurred at the M. E. church in Grandview, Friday, Rev. Shane of Letts preaching the sermon. The four step sons acted at pall bearers from the house and old acquaintances from the church. The remains were interred in the Grandview cemetery.
