Bessie Beane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Beane, living in the south part of this township, died at her home last Sunday March 20th, 1892, at 8 p. m. of inflamatory rheumatism. Bessie was born July 17, 1880 and was taken sick only the Monday previous to her death. The disease did its work quickly, going to the brain. She met the last enemy with all the courage of an aged saint, for she was not afraid to die. The services were held in the Bethel church, Monday, where a large crowd assembled and were conducted by Rev. J. C. Willits. The remains were deposited in the Bethel Cemetery.
