From the Muscatine Journal we learn of the death of Mrs. Joe F. Beard last Sunday night from heart failure. She was born at Gallinpolis, Ohio, Feby. 26, 1860 and was married to Joseph F. Beard, Feby. 18, 1880. Besides her husband she leaves 6 children, 3 daughters and 3 sons, the youngest but 4 days old. She was an active consistent member of the M. E. church. Mr. Beard is an employee of the Journal and was at one time in connection with his brother publisher of a paper here.
