J. A. Shoop, a prominent citizen of the Junction died Saturday evening, after an illness of only 24 hours. He had been using some green paint and soon after was prostrated with pains in his stomach from which he never recovered. It is not positively known whether he paint had anything to do with this or not. He was a man 45 years old and had been a resident of the county for over 30 years. He leaves a wife and 8 children. The remains were buried at Indian Creek cemetery Sunday.
