J. H. Stegall was found dead in his bed at his home of North Main street Monday morning, he was in his usual health upon retiring at 11 o'clock, conversed with his son, who was sleeping with him but morning found him cold in death. The physician in attendance state that his death was due to heart trouble and that he had been dead about five hours before his family were aware of his passing. Deceased was 58 years of age and had lived the greater part of his life in the vicinity of Toolesboro and Wapello. He is survived by his wife and five children: Susan, wife of Clarence Lundrall, residing near Wapello, Glen, Nellie, Emma and Helen.
