Funeral services over the remains of Ernest Everett Babbitt, second son of Lloyd and Elsie Babbitt were held at the Grace Reformed church of Conesville, at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. G. A. Ingle. The deceased was born March 27, 1915 near Conesville and passed from this life April 4, 1922 at the age of 7 years, 1 month and 7 days. His death came following an operation at the Mercy hospital at Iowa City for the removal of a grain of corn from the lungs, which had gotten in the windpipe while playing with some playmates, preparing to hang May baskets. Ernest was a little boy whose disposition was full of sunshine and affection and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his father, mother, two brothers, Ray and Aldon and by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Westlake and Mrs. Alida Babbitt and other relatives. Interment was made in the Conesville cemetery.
