Morning Sun - Mrs. Robert S. Baird of this place passed away Tuesday May 2, 1922, at Burlington Hospital following operations and two week's illness. The remains were brought to the home west of town the same evening. Funeral services will be conducted from the United Presbyterian church here on Thursday afternoon, May 4 at 2:30 o'clock, by her pastor, Rev. J. H. McCormick, who will be assisted by Rev. R. Wherry Jamieson, of Columbus City, Ia. Interment in Elmwood cemetery.

Alva Maud Wilson was the second daughter of Flemington V. and Mary J. Wilson. She was born July 9, 1880 at Morning Sun. On February 19, 1918 she was united in marriage with Robert S. Baird. In early life she united with the M. E. church here, later transferring her letter to the Presbyterian church. She leaves to mourn for her the father, F. V. Wilson of this place, and three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Long of Worthington, Minn. and Mrs. Mel McElhinney and Mrs. Walter Cornic, of this place.
