Wapello, Ia. A message was received here Sunday by Mrs. D. C. Thomas, announcing the death of her brother-in-law, John S. Scroggs, who passed away at Beredsford, South Dakota, that morning. Deceased was well known here, having resided on a farm east of Wapello. His wife who was Miss Tabitha Colip, died during their residence in Wapello. Mr. Scroggs was 70 years of age. The body will be brought to Wapello Tuesday morning and funeral service held from the Harrison church Tuesday afternoon. Interment in the Harrison cemetery.
