Mrs. George D. Owens died Tuesday morning, November 6th, at the family home southwest of this city, after an illness of more than a year. From May 14th to August 14th, of this year, she was at the University hospital, at Iowa City, for medical treatment. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Marshall, of Virginia Grove and was born in this county, July 31, 1875. She is survived by her husband and eight children. They are Beulah, DeWitt, Verlee, Virgil, Walton, Cleo, Margaret and Virginia. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon and interment was made in the Virginia Grove cemetery.
