Conesville - The tragic death of Mrs. Wm. French, of Toolsboro came as a shock to her many friends here. She was seriously burned on Wednesday night from pouring kerosene in the stove to hasten the evening meal. She was taken to the Burlington hospital and death relieved her of her suffering the following day. She was born near Conesville being the younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Swailes. In 1912 she was united in marriage to Wm. French who with one son, Forest, mourn her death. She is also survived by her parents, one sister, Mrs. George Crist and six brothers, Guy, Arthur, Earl, Frank, Floyd and Vern. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the M. E. church in Wapello.
