Mrs. Harriet E. Boyle, a former well known resident of Columbus Junction, died at her home in Broken Bow, Nebraska, Friday, September 21st, after an extended illness. Harriet E. Hunter was born in Washington county, near Brighton, Iowa, March 2, 1868 and moved in childhood with her parents to this community. She was united in marriage to James S. Boyle January 2, 1884 and they made this their home until 1906 when they moved to Thedford, Nebraska where they lived until seven years ago when they moved to Broken Bow. Mrs. Boyle was converted in early life and united with the Baptist church in which organization she remained faithful until death.

She is survived by her husband, James S. Boyle, of Broken Bow, Nebraska; and six children, J. Arthur Boyle, of Dodge City, Kansas; Charles Boyle of Broken Bow; Channing, at Eldon, Nebraska; Kent and Thomas C. at Casper, Wyoming; and Mrs. Montana Labertow and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Younkin, of Siebert, Colorado and two grandchildren, Kathleen and Donald Boyle, children of Mr. Arthur Boyle.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the home in Nebraska, after which the body was brought to this city, accompanied by the husband and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Boyle and children and taken to Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Ross where a short service was held Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev. Roy Johnston, after which interment was made int he Columbus City cemetery.
