As relatives here were awaiting the arrival of the remains of John Boggs from Oelwein on Saturday afternoon, J. A. Trautman a nephew of the deceased arrived from Burlington and told them of the death of his mother, Mrs. Effie Trautman, of Fort Collins, Colorado, which occurred at eleven o'clock on Friday evening, just 12 hours after the death of her brother, John Boggs, whose death occurred August 31st. The funeral of Mr. Boggs was held on Sunday afternoon at the Grace Reformed church conducted by Rev. V. A. Bloomquist, of Nichols. Interment took place in the Conesville cemetery. The funeral service for Mrs. Trautman was held Tuesday afternoon at the Grace Reformed church.

John Boggs, son of John and Ella Boggs was born on August 24, 1879 at Conesville, Iowa and he lived on the farm until seven years ago when they moved to Rowley, Iowa. In December, 1900 he was united in marriage to Miss Emma Hintz, of Nichols and to this union five children were born, Dora, Nira, Tommy, Lura and Glenn who are left to mourn his loss. Also, Mrs. Dora Jarrard, a sister who raised him. Mr. Boggs mother died on the day of his birth. He was conscious to the last. Mr. Boggs had been ailing for several months but took seriously ill with typhoid fever about two weeks ago. He united with the Grace Reformed church when a young man and later joined the Baptist church at Bryantburg, Iowa.

The body of Mrs. Trautman arrived in Conesville Tuesday accompanied by the son and daughter, Miss Fern and Verne Trautman, of Fort Collins and was taken right to the Grace Reformed church where the funeral service was held. Mrs. Trautman is survived by three sons and one daughter, namely, Arthur Trautman of Burlington, Burl, Verne and Fern of Fort Collins, Colo., and three grandsons, Lawrence, Donald and Randall Trautman. Mrs. Trautman and Mr. Boggs are survived by one brother and two sisters, namely: Thos. Boggs of Cranston, Mrs. Dora Jarrard, of Conesville and Mrs. Jake Snyder of Cranston.

Mrs. Trautman was born and reared at Conesville living here until five years ago when she moved to Colorado. She was united in marriage to William Trautman who with three sons, Ernest, Glenn and Roy preceded her in death. Mrs. Trautman and Mr. Boggs father John Boggs Sr. died about two years ago and a sister Ella several years ago.
