Wapello, Ia - John Imber, a pioneer business man of Wapello, died at his home here this morning at 8 o'clock. He had been in poor health for several years. The deceased was born in Switzerland February 24, 1843. He was married to Miss Minnie Graeke at New Boston, Ill, April 20, 1882 a year later he moved to Wapello where he opened a shoe store which he conducted until 16 years ago when he was forced to retire on account of poor health. He was a member of the local G.A. R. post and of the Odd Fellow lodge. He is survived by his wife and one brother, Anthony, New Boston. No arrangement for the funeral have been made.
