Feb. 28 - James Edwards, an early pioneer of Columbus Junction, who came here in 1851, died Monday evening, at the age of 91 years. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dora Lee, of Muscatine and a son, Lewis Edwards of California, Z. L. Edwards, of Haskins is a brother. His brother, Frank Edwards, died a few weeks ago. His wife who was Eleanor Tompkins, died many years ago. The funeral services were held at the Gilkey undertaking parlors at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday, conducted by Rev. W. E. Ruston. Interment was made in the Tennessee cemetery.
