Mrs. C. L. Wilson, for many years a resident of Columbus City, passed away in death Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, February 26, 1922, following a long illness. Elizabeth J. Fleagle was born in Carroll county, Maryland, October 26, 1847 and was aged 74 years and four months. She came to Iowa with her parents in 1861 and on the sixth of November, 1867, she was united in marriage to Rev. C. L. Wilson. Who recently returned from service in the army during the Civil War and who for more than fifty-four years they walked the pathway of life together.

To them were born four sons and four daughters, seven of whom with the husband survive her. The children are: Mrs. Mary R. Bojleu, of Washington, Iowa; B. S. Wilson, of Mt. Vernon; Mrs. Estella B. Arthur, of Ft. Dodge; Mrs. R. H. Dameron, of New London; J. Logan Wilson, of Wapello, Edwin C. at home and Mrs. Kate Lauser, of Des Moines. One son, William H. died in 1883. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren and two brothers and one sister, Mrs. Frank Paxson, of this city.

Mrs. Wilson was converted at the age of thirteen and united with the Church of God. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10:30 at the United Presbyterian church at Columbus City and were conducted by Rev. E. E. Heltibridle, pastor of the Church of God in this community assisted by Rev. R. E. Jamison and Rev. S. B. Houston. Interment in the Columbus City cemetery.
