Mrs. Henry Hoben, a well known resident of Louisa county for many years in the Gladwin community, passed away at her home there, Sunday, January 15th, after an illness of several weeks. Elizabeth Buckner was born near Martinsville, Indiana, August 15, 1839 and died near Gladwin, Iowa, January 15, 1922 at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 10days. She was united in marriage with Henry Hoben October 15, 1857. He preceded her in death six years ago. Ten children were born to this union, only two of whom survive to mourn her death. they are are Mrs. Iva Orr, of Wood, South Dakota and William of Gladwin. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and one brother, Henry Boyd, of near Gladwin. Funeral services were held in the Gladwin church Tuesday forenoon conducted by Rev. W. E. Ruston of this city. Interment was made in the Union cemetery.
