L. L. Gilley, a prominent business man of Wapello for twenty-five years, died Friday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joiner Davison, at Wapello. He was born in Jericho, Vermont, and was 74 years of age. He came to Wapello in 1865. For many years he conducted a restaurant then a hotel at Wapello, one son, Will and one daughter, Mrs. Joiner Davison survive. Funeral services were held Sunday.
