Wednesday morning June 29 while preparing the morning meal at her home Mrs. W. F. Hall went to the medicine cabinet to take a few swallows of a nerve tonic she was using and accidentally drank from a bottle of muriatic acid which had been secured for cleaning purposes. For the past eight weeks loving relatives, friends, physicians and nurses, have sought with never ceasing vigil to restore her to health. Without warning she grew worse Wednesday evening and at an early hour Friday morning the esteemed woman passed the barrier into the spirit world beyond.

Octavia Jane Hall, daughter of Dr. Ignatius C. Brown and Ruth Ann Brown was born at Columbus City, Iowa, August 26, 1864 and died at Columbus Junction, Iowa, August 26, 1921, aged 57years. On June 7, 1883 she was married to Walter Frances Hall, from which union were born four sons, Arthur Brown Hall, of Boston, Massachusetts; Walter Channing Hall of Columbus Junction; Harry Oliphant Hall of Toledo, Ohio and Hamlet Cyprian Hall of Denver, Colorado.

She is survived by her husband, four sons, five grandchildren and by two brothers, William Thomas Brown of What Cheer, Iowa and Dr. Hadley Cyprian Brown of El Reno, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon at three o'clock conducted by her pastor, Rev. W. E. Ruston. Interment in the Columbus City cemetery.
