Mrs. Rosanna Dix Cutcome was born, March 29, 1849 in Columbus City and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Isaac Stone near Cone, Iowa, August 9, 1921 at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 11 days. She was the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Dix. She was married to William Cutcomb February 22, 1866 who preceded her in death twelve years ago. To this union was born five children, William, Curtis, Moses and Ralph who preceded her and Mrs. Lottie Stone residing in Cone, Iowa. She is also survived by five grandchildren and one great grandchildren.

Her entire life was spent in Louisa county with exceptions of the last four years. She was stricken with paralysis and never had been able to walk for over five years being confined to her bed all these years. She made her home with her daughter and everything that loving hands could do was done to make her comfortable. She was a member of the Grace Reformed church at Conesville and lived a devoted, consecrated Christian life for many years. Three sisters also survive to mourn her death. They are Mrs. Pline Payton, of Miami, Oklahoma; Mrs. Nina D. Costa, of Anthony, Kansas and Mrs. Delia Darrow, of Denver, Colorado.

Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev. G. A. Ingle. Interment was made by the side of her husband in the Columbus City cemetery.
