Page 8Frederick Kreiner, aged ninety-three, died at his home east of Wapello early Sunday morning. He had been bedfast for two years and was totally blind. He was born in Baden, Germany on November 9, 1827 and came to this country in 1845. He settled in Buffalo and worked at the shoe making trade. On February 29, 1853, he married Miss Rozena Fath and to this union nine children were born, 5 dying in infancy and one daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Ross, dying at Oklahoma City in 1916. Those surviving are: Sophia, wife of P. G. Wiederrecht of Wapello, George and Frederick Jr., both east of this city. Funeral service was held at the home Wednesday by his pastor, Rev. F. H. Austermann and interment made in the Harrison cemetery.
