Morning Sun, Iowa, July 25 - The body of Corp. Fred Hays of rainbow division, who was killed July 28, 1917 in the World War, arrived here Friday morning and was taken to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Hays. The funeral was in charge of the Hays-Scott Post of the American Legion of Morning Sun. It was held in the United Presbyterian church , of which Fred was a member, Saturday afternoon at 2:30. Sermon by the Pastor, Rev. J. H. McCormick assisted by Rev. M. Leeper of Iowa City. The body interned in Elmwood cemetery.
