Page 1John Lee Morrison was born at Wapello, March 1, 1878 and died at his home in Columbus Junction, April 20, 1921, at one o'clock in the morning. He was married to Miss Blanche M. Hunt, March 15, 1904 and since then has made his home in this community. He followed the carpenter trade for a number of years and later was associated with H. H. Wykert in establishment of the White Way Garage in this city, but several years ago he was compelled to relinquish active work on account of ill health.
He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Verlee, and one brother, Fred Morrison, and one sister, Mrs. Geo. C. Gardner, and two half sisters, Mrs. Geo. W. Gardner and Mrs. Adam Gentzler, all of this community. One infant daughter and his parents and two sisters, Mollie and Tennie and one brother, Frank, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Friday afternoon at the united Brethern church at Columbus City conducted by Rev. Hervey assisted by Rev. Ruston. Interment will be made in the Columbus City cemetery.
