Mrs. Wm Guthrie died Friday afternoon, March 4, after an illness of four weeks. Mrs. Guthrie, whose maiden name was Marietta Vandevork, had reached the age of 74 years and had spent her entire life in the vicinity of Grandview. On February 22, 1866, she was married to William Guthrie, who died February 8, 1917. She leaves four son, Theodore, of Syracuse, Neb., Will of Corydon, Ia.; S. L. of Muscatine and J. M. Of Wapello. Funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Grandview Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment made in Grandview cemetery.
