Samuel Boke, a former resident of this city, died Friday at Muscatine after a protracted illness. The funeral was held Sunday morning at 9 o'clock at the family residence in Muscatine after which the remains were brought to this city and interred in the Columbus City cemetery. The officiating clergyman was Rev. C. L. Young of the U. B. church. Samuel Boke was born at Grandview, February 17, 1867 and moved to Muscatine about twenty years ago. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mabel, of Muscatine and four brothers, David, Charles, Robert and Richard and two sisters, Elizabeth, of this city and Katherine, of California.
