Mrs. G. T. McConahay, a highly esteemed resident of Louisa county, passed away at the Burlington hospital Monday morning, February 26, 1917. For the past year they have made their home at Wyman. Mrs. McConahay, whose maiden name was Martha A. Blake, was born February 26, 1850 her death occuring on her 67th birthday anniversary. She is survived by her husband and the following children. Mrs. J. O. Lemon of Adrian, Mo.; Mrs. J. W. Williams of Wyman; Warren McConahay of Olds, Iowa; Howard of Wapello; Otto of Morning Sun; Mrs. Richard Hughes of Columbus Junction, Iowa; Mrs. Curt Hamilton and Chester both of Morning Sun. One son Charles preceded her in death and a brother Freeman Blake of Harper, Kans, survives.
