Patrick Cotter, a resident of Louisa county for many years, passed away Tuesday evening at his home in Muscatine, Ia, after an illness of several weeks with liver trouble. Deceased was a native of Ireland and came to this country when a young man, settling in Pennsylvania. About 1870 he came to Louisa county, settling on a farm in Marshall township where he made his home for forty years. He then moved o Wapello, where he remained until five years ago, when he moved to Muscatine. Deceased is survived by his wife, two sons, Edward, who lives on a farm near Mt. Pleasant and Daniel, residing near Wapello, also one daughter, Margaret, who is at home with her mother. The remains will be brought to Wapello and services held in the Catholic church on Friday morning. Interment will be made in the Wapello cemetery.
