Mrs. Anna Marling, a well known resident of the Gladwin Neighborhood, died Monday afternoon, February 12th, following a brief illness. Anna Raymond was born in Highland township, Washington county, March 29, 1868. She grew to womanhood there and August 25, 1890 she was united in marriage to George Marling, a prominent farmer of that community who preceded her in death, February 14, 1911.

Mrs. Marling was devoted to her home and its interests and took an active part in helping those about her. She was a conscientious and firm believer in the teachings of the Bible adhering to the tenets of the Church of God. She is survived by one son, Walter and six brothers and three sisters. The sisters are: Mrs. Nancy Green, of Lindsey, Montana, Mrs. Sarah Swailes, of Gladwin; Mrs. S. R. Drake of Columbus Junction. The brothers are: George Raymond, of Fresno, California, Tim Raymond, of Ablia, Abner, of Canada, Azor, Charles and William, of Gladwin. The funeral service was held Wednesday morning at the home conducted by Rev. C. L. Wilson. Interment was made in the Salem Bethel cemetery.
