Hanft, and they have made this county their home ever since, residing for many years on the Hanft homestead south of Columbus City. Mrs. Hanft was particularly devoted to her home.

She was a member of the United Brethern church at Columbus City and attended regularly when her health permitted. She is survived by her husband T. F. Hanft and two sons, Edward Harry, of Sheridan, Wyoming and Cyril at home and one daughter, Ruth, at home. Two children, Frederick and Nellie, both dying in infancy. She is also survived by three brothers, William Cassabaum, of near Columbus Junction, Frederick of Davenport and James. Funeral services were held at the United Brethern church at Columbus City Monday afternoon at two o'clock conducted by Rev. J. C. H. Light, of Cedar Rapids.
