Mrs. Wm. Logan. Louisa Elizabeth, daughter of Samuel and Direxa Tibbets was born in Hancock county, Indian, May 9, 1851. She was a family of twelve children, seven of which survive her. She was married October 10, 1871 to Wm Logan. They lived in Des Moines county, Iowa, near Columbus Junction, until the death of her husband January 28, 1894, To this union was born ten children, two sons and eight daughters, nine who survive her, one having died in infancy. They are: S. D. Logan, of Neodesha, Kansas; Mary D. Hawk, of Hope, New Mexico; Nellie C. DuVander, of Salt Lake City, Utah; Bell Asmusen, of Hedrick, Rosa Lavery, of Columbus Junction, Clare Jennings of Wetonka, South Dakota, Joe Logan and Verna McFall of Sigourney and Hazel Hall of Bloomington, Illinois, all of which were present at the funeral except Mary D. Hawk.

Louisa Elizabeth Logan united with the Presbyterian church in her early married life and has been a devoted christian until the end. Funeral services were held last Sunday afternoon from the McFall home at Sigourney. The remains were then brought to Columbus Junction Tuesday morning, accompanied by the sorrowing relatives and taken to the Spring Run cemetery for interment. A short service was held at the Spring Run church conducted by Rev. Vanderlippe, of Signourney.
