Mrs. Mary E. Gregory Gunnells, one of the oldest residents of Louisa county, passed away at her home at Wapello, at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. She had been in poor health for some time and an attack of la grippe hastened her demise. She was born in Louisa county March 19, 1851. Her death is mourned by five children, William, of Wapello; Oliver of Ft. Dodge; Arthur, of New York, John and Mrs. Mollie Schneider. She made her home with the latter. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church by Rev. Coggshall.
