Miss Grace Tipton is laid to rest. The angel of death claimed her as his own between twelve and one o'clock Monday night October 4th at the Mt. Pleasant hospital. Tuberculosis was the cause of her death she having been confined to her bed for several months. She was born January 29, 1883 at Conesville, Iowa, and was the fourth daughter of Risdon and Emma Tipton. When quite young she moved to Nichols with her parents, then to Muscatine and after several years to Lone Tree. Miss Grace spent some years later in Cone and several years in Chicago, the last three of four years in Mt. Pleasant. R. H. Main, of Columbus Junction brought the remains from Mt. Pleasant Tuesday to the home of her brother, Roy Tipton, where the funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Robert Mcinturff, of West Liberty officiating. She was laid to rest in the beautiful Conesville cemetery by the side of her mother and little sister, Daisy. She is survived by her father, Risdon Tipton, of Cone and three sisters, Etta, wife of G. R. Swem, of West Liberty, Agnes, wife of J. L. Tarpy, of Burlington, and Helena, of West Liberty, and three brothers, Roy, Cleveland and Lloyd of near Cone.
