The W. E. Shew home near Wapello was prostrated again this week with grief when their daughter, little Lucile, passed away at the Burlington hospital. Mrs. Shew is prostrated with grief as this is the third time that the death messenger has visited her home within a month. A few days before Christmas occurred the death of Miss Erma Shew the oldest daughter. She was only sick a few days. Last week, Mrs. Mary Carrigan, mother of Mrs. Shew, passed away. Her death was also very sudden. Saturday evening, Lucile, aged seven died at a Burlington hospital. Although the child had been ill for several weeks her condition was not thought critical and news of her death came as a great shock. The child was born and lived her entire life near Wapello. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon.
