Mrs. L. A. Williams, a highly esteemed resident of Letts, died at her home in that city, Friday, January
18th. Mrs. Williams was the mother of Mrs. M. H. Summers, of this city, and in her frequent visits to the home of her daughter she made many friends here who mourn with the daughter, in her death. Lucy Ann Burges was born at Liberty, Indiana and at the time of her death she was seventy-nine years of age. She came to Iowa in the '40's. She is survived by eight children. Her husband and three children preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Sunday morning at Letts, conducted by Rev. O. O. Hobson. Interment in the Oak Grove cemetery near Cranston.
