The remains of Mrs. Martha Beason, who died at Marshalltown, Wednesday, January 9, were shipped to this city, arriving here Friday evening. They were taken to the home of her son-in-law, R. G. McCoy, at Columbus City, where funeral services were held Sunday conducted by Rev. Hutchins. Mrs. Beason was born in Belmond county, Ohio, 64 years ago and came to Iowa with her parents in 1853. Deceased with her husband, lived at Columbus City many years but for the past few years they have made their home at the Soldier's Home at Marshalltown. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Diana Sheridan, of this city and also by two brothers, Win and Ab Sheridan, of this city and one daughter, Mrs. R. G. McCoy, of Columbus City.
