Wapello, December 23 -Miss Erma Shew, one of the prominent school teachers of the county and a most estimable young lady, died at the home of her grandmother in this city last Wednesday morning. Her death was very sudden, she having taught her school until the previous Friday. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at the Methodist church conducted by Rev. A. W. McBlain.
