Alonzo K. Enyart, a well known citizen of this community, suffered a paralytic stroke at the home of his niece, Miss Mary Jones, with whom he has been making his home, at an early hour Monday morning and passed away that afternoon. Mr. Enyart was born in Bureau county, Illinois, November 20, 1837 and at the time of his death he was aged 77 years, 1 month and 1 day. He came to Iowa about fifty years ago and here he was married to Miss Catherine Buffington, who died in March 1909. He spent the greater part of his life on a farm in Elm Grove township and was a man whom every one respected. He severed his country during the civil war. Early in life he became a member of the United Evangelical church.

He is survived by one brother, Louis Enyart, of Geneseo, Illinois and two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Adams, of Pala, Nebraska and Mrs. Electa Hall of Stockville, Nebraska. A short funeral service will be held at the home of his niece, Miss Mary Jones, in this city, Saturday morning at 9 o'clock after which the body will be taken to the Spring Run church where services will be held at 10:30 o'clock conducted by Rev. M. C. Miller. Interment will be made in the Spring Run cemetery by the side of his wife and child, who died in infancy.
