Mariah Doman Wagner was born in Dauphin county, Pennsylvania, April 6, 1837. She moved to Iowa with her parents in the spring of 1856 and her she was united in marriage to George Wagner November 30, 1856. To this union there was born seven children. Three preceded their mother in death and four, with the husband, remain to mourn their loss. They are: Charles E., at home; Mrs. Emma Crull, of Fredonia; Mrs. Ida Karns, of Wilton; Mrs. Della Hamilton, of Nichols. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren who share the loss of a kind wife, mother and grandmother. She united with the Church of God. She departed this life of probation to her home in glory, November 15, 1914. The immediate cause of her death was an attack of acute indigestion. Funeral services were held at the home north of Fredonia, Wednesday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. C. L. Wilson. Interment was made in the Cedar Bethel cemetery.
