page 5People here were shocked to hear of the death of James Bevans at Wapello. He was a resident of this place for many years before going to Wapello. He was taken dangerously sick and was removed to the Burlington hospital. He had to undergo an operation but never railed. The funeral services were held in Wapello on Sunday. He leaves an invalid wife, one daughter, Mrs. Lesnet and two sons Lorin and Alonzo.
