page 1Daniel Schaffer, the thirteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schaffer of near Grandview, was killed Wednesday evening,May 14th, while riding a colt after the cows in the pasture. He was found dead with one foot fast in the stirrup of the saddle and it is supposed that he was thrown from the horse and dragged to death. Funeral services will be held at the Grandview M. E. church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
