The death of L. B. Lancaster at his home west of town at 2 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon, April 9, 1913, occurred very suddenly after an illness of less than three days. Mr. Lancaster was in town Saturday and seemed in the best of health. Levi B. Lancaster was born in Scott county, near Le Claire, July 20, 1849. He was married to Miss Catherine Doud of Davenport, October 7, 1891. For the past five years he has resided in this city on a small farm where he cultivated small fruit extensively and was first on the market with early vegetables. He is survived by his wife and one sister. The remains were taken to Davenport this morning for interment.
