Peter O. Shipman, a prosperous and well known farmer of near Wapello, died suddenly of heart failure Sunday morning, April 5th. Mr. Shipman seemed as well as usual in the morning and after eating breakfast went to the barn to do some chores and a few minutes later he was found lying dead near the barnyard fence. The sympathy of a large number of friends and relatives is extended to the grief stricken family. He is survived by his wife and four daughters. He was born near Sunburg, Penna., March 14, 1849 and was aged 73 years and 22 days. Funeral services were held Tuesday and interment was made in the Wapello cemetery.
