Thomas Stark died at his home in Columbus City
Wednesday night, November 8, at 10 o'clock. He had been sick a little over two weeks with typhoid fever in a malignant form and little hope of his recovery had been entertained for some days. Mr. Stark was a man highly respected by his neighbors; honest and industrious. His wife was Ida Cutcomp, a daughter of Henry Cutcomp. They lived near Columbus City for many years on the farm which they owned at the time of his death. Some years since Mr. Stark became unable to work from an attack of rheumatism. They rented their farm and moved to Columbus City where they have since lived. They leave no children and the report is that the property is left by will to the widow. Mr. Stark was born in this county and his home has always been here. The funeral was held at the U. B. church on Saturday conducted by the pastor, Rev. A. E. Hursb. Interment followed in Columbus City cemetery.
