The mother lived to turn the ninety-third year. One sister died before she was sixty; the rest were over sixty, most of them past seventy. The oldest brother, Henry, still living, aged ninety-three; the oldest sister, Ann, aged ninety-one; homes in Ohio. Lyda, wife of Hiram Swaim, and Cordelia, wife of Edward Waller, still live in Ohio. Isaac, the youngest, lives at Great Bend, Kansas. Mariah, wife of Charley Sidman, lives in south-western Missouri. Lucinda, wife of Pressley Wright, lives at Corning, Iowa.

He was married to Eliza Wilson, in 1846, later moved to Iowa, settling in Grandview; had lived for over sixty years in Louisa county. To this union were born five children; three died while young and are buried in Grandview cemetery. Minnie, who lived to be twenty years of age, was buried at Columbus City. Samuel Reynolds enlisted in Company K, 8th Iowa Infantry, Sept. 11, 1861, as 4th corporal; wounded at Shiloh and discharged at Corinth, Miss., May 8, 1862. For many years Mr. Reynolds has been almost deaf and blind and a great charge to those who cared for him. He was buried from the Lee home Tuesday morning, by the old comrades in arms.
